Egret, again

The Egret came back yesterday.

On the day I saw the ducks, I decided to head over to Sailor's Home Pond to see if they eventually got there. While we were watching the ducks, this beautiful snow white egret decided to land.

This was a great day for bird spotting.

Make way for ducklings

A few days ago I was walking around Quincy, and look what crossed my path. This duck family was heading for (although right now they were heading in the wrong direction) the "Sailor's Home Pond".

On Saturday there were a whole bunch of geese families out on the Charles River.

How are you keeping cool?

A Bird
A bird came down the walk,
He did not know I saw;
He bit an angleworm in halves
And ate the fellow, raw.


And then he drank a dew
From a convenient grass,
And then hopped sidewise to the wall
To let a beetle pass.
